Hello everybody.
Sorry, for not writing ti's been a while. Thankfully the home school year is getting to and end and now I have made for time for sharing with you a little bit of our lives.
Well, the girls have been growing. (Abby my oldest daughter grow two inches over one weekend with fever, my youngest grow a little less than that , near half inch, by the way my kitchen door looks all so spotty with so many pencil lines on it). I'm afraid to tell you that as for me I have been shrinking (just a little bit less than half inch), but the process of decay is starting already. How awful that sound.
Anyway let's talk about better things. Zolumbia Coo, I mean Columbia Zoo.
We went there a week a go. It was a very peculiar trip. We ended up going with another friend.
We had so much fun! If anybody wants to go there I highly recommend it it is worthy the ride.
It is a little Zoo, but it has a little bit of everything for everybody. My favorite spot was the Gorilla zone. It has a big glass wall so you can watch them in their own habitat.
They are silly, they come closer to the glass and put their feet on the wall. You can pretend to touch them and compare them with your own. They are magnificent.
I loved the Zoo keepers, specially the lady that gave us a class about canines. It was a well prepared power point presentation and then she took us to see the Hyenas. How awesome that is, you receive a class with photographs about an animal, then you go to see the animal!
There is something about diversity that kept my attention.
So many textures, so many colors, so many sizes, makes me think about the human race.
We are so diverse! yet so similar!
We all have mothers ,fathers and siblings. We all gestate for nine months inside a womb, well not all really, some very active arrive 3 weeks earlier than others but in general we have the same biological characteristics and yet we have so different cultural approaches.
One may be Russian and eat beet soup (delicious! by the way) and the other may be Ethiope and devour chickpeas and rice.
It is unbelievable how diverse the animal kingdom can be and at the same time co-habit in the world.
It really hits me that sometimes we the humans can not co-habit with each other in peace.
Respecting other persons opinions and at the same time being capable of understanding or simply empathize with them.
Maybe we have to learn from the animals in that respect.
Don't you think?
Well that is all for today.
Tons of Blessings.
